This month, the Barratt Redrow Foundation marks its fifth anniversary, celebrating five years of meaningful support for children, young people and those most disadvantaged across the UK.

To mark this anniversary and bring these impacts to life, a film has been created to tell the stories of five young people whose lives have been transformed through the work of The Foundation’s incredible charity partners.

Making a lasting difference

Since launching in January 2021, the Foundation has grown into a powerful force for good. This year, it will reach a significant milestone, with £20 million donated to charities and good causes that are helping communities to thrive.

Over the past five years, the Barratt Redrow Foundation has also supported more than 2,000 charities and good causes nationwide. Each year, the funding is estimated to directly impact over 100,000 young people, helping to create brighter futures and stronger communities.

A shared achievement

Andy Button Stephens, Head of the Barratt Redrow Foundation, said:

“I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved since launching the Barratt Redrow Foundation in 2021. Thanks to the incredible support of our national and local charity partners, and our Barratt Redrow plc colleagues, we’ve been able to make a real difference to thousands of children and young people across the country. We are committed to building on this success and continuing to create a lasting and meaningful difference in the years ahead.”

David Thomas, CEO of Barratt Redrow plc, added:

“I am very proud of the reach and impact the Barratt Redrow Foundation has achieved over the past five years. At Barratt Redrow, we are committed to building homes and places that are truly sustainable and supporting the communities in which we build sits at the heart of this ethos. The Foundation has not only provided a clear focus for our charitable giving, which has grown year on year since its inception, it has also acted as a catalyst for employee volunteering, fundraising and support for local charities and good causes in the areas in which we operate.”

Continuing the amazing work

The Foundation will continue to help communities across the UK to thrive, with a clear focus on children, young people and those most disadvantaged. 95 percent of the grants are unrestricted, and where possible, provided as multi year funding. This approach maximises impact and gives charities the flexibility to use funds where they are needed most.

We could not be prouder of the difference the Barratt Redrow Foundation is making in communities across the country. As we celebrate five years of impact, we remain focused on the future and the lives still to be changed.

This is just the beginning, and we look forward to continuing this journey together.
