Barratt Redrow, the country’s leading homebuilder, has announced a new sponsorship deal with Kipp Popert, the world’s No.1 ranked disabled golfer.

The announcement follows Kipp’s recent victories at the Irish Open and the prestigious BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth. Kipp will wear the Barratt Redrow logo on his t-shirt and sweater for the next year, starting at the PGA Championship.

Kipp Popert said: “I want to show the world just what disabled people can achieve and to encourage more people with a disability to follow their dreams. That’s why I am proud to be working with Barratt Redrow as they help support people with disabilities.”

David Thomas, Chief Executive at Barratt Redrow, said: “We are proud to champion sport, achievement and personal endeavour, but for everyone – those with a disability and those without. This is why we are sponsoring Kipp, as he showcases what can be achieved by becoming the world’s number one disabled golfer.”

The new partnership with the world’s No.1 ranked disabled golfer continues the work Barratt Redrow does trying to improve the lives of people with a disability – both physical and mental.

This summer Barratt Redrow committed to prioritising inclusive play spaces across all of its new developments, so that every child can enjoy the freedom, fun and benefits that outdoor play delivers. This commitment includes sharing its new inclusive play design standard across the whole of the housebuilding industry, so that inclusive and accessible spaces become the standard, not the exception.

In addition, Barratt Redrow has a £1m partnership with Whizz Kidz, the country’s leading charity for young wheelchair users, and is a proud sponsor of both the Matt Hampson Foundation and Hari Budha Magar, the first double above-knee amputee to summit Mount Everest.
