Taking pride in your job

Barratt Developments site managers have won 79 awards at the 2016 NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Awards. The total of 79 awards is far and away more than any other housebuilder, the 12th year in a row where Barratt Developments has won the most awards.

The Pride in the Job Awards are the most coveted in the industry and have been instrumental in driving up standards for 35 years. The awards are dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the highest standard in housebuilding, with the winners being selected from more than 16,000 working on sites registered with the NHBC (National House Building Council). They are awarded after the NHBC carries out a series of spot-check site inspections to select the best organised and best quality housing developments.

Steven Boyes, deputy chief executive at Barratt Developments, said: “We are very proud of this. To win so many compared to every other housebuilder, and to have done so for 12 years in a row now, just underlines how important we see quality to be. Winning 79 awards makes a massive statement about the high standards of work our site managers and their teams deliver every single day.”

The award comes on the back of Barratt Developments being awarded five stars by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for customer satisfaction. Barratt is the only major national housebuilder to be ranked as five star by the HBF for the last seven years.
