Our colleagues are celebrating after being shortlisted and winning a number of coveted awards at the fourth annual British Diversity Awards.

Held at the prestigious Grosvenor House London, the awards pay tribute to individuals, teams and organisations leading the way in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Gemma Webb, Group Head of Diversity and Inclusion scooped the award for Head of Diversity. Gemma has been a vocal advocate of supporting employees throughout their life-stages and has created industry and FTSE 100-leading benefits for maternity, paternity, and carers.

Her work includes face-to-face workshops across the business to embed inclusive behaviour, six employee led networks to support colleagues and the creation of guidelines and toolkits to support both managers and employees on how to seek help on a range of topics.

Gemma said: “Our team is working hard to make Barratt Redrow a place where difference is truly valued and everyone can be themselves, and where nothing is a barrier to success. I am thrilled to win the award, but it’s for everyone in our team and across the business as a whole.”

Jock Lennox, our Non-Executive Director, won the FTSE 100 NED award. Jock's leadership, high standards and innovative approach has helped to drive transformational change across the business, including the successful combination with Redrow to create an exceptional UK homebuilder.

David Thomas, CEO, said: “Jock is an inspirational leader and valued member of our Board, who has been instrumental in growing the business over the years and positioning Barratt Redrow as the industry leader, building the high quality, sustainable homes the country needs.”

Hosted by celebrated broadcaster Charlene White and TV personality Dr. Ranj Singh, the evening included an empowering keynote speech from June Sarpong OBE and a high-energy performance from Boney M, showcasing the UK’s commitment to inclusion.
